About

jennifer

My name is Jennifer Hubbard and I help people change more successfully.

I am a teacher and yoga therapist and use tools from yoga as a framework, because they are better than anything else I have seen for teaching us to live well in our bodies.  I teach powerful and effective methods that reset the nervous system to function more effectively, techniques to calm your mind and body, and reset your ability to breathe deeply, even under stress.  I also teach things that I believe yoga misses, dietary rules that net resilient, healthy bodies, exercises that strengthen and stabilize joints and psychological insights that inform our daily lives.

I teach these simple, profound practices in retreat settings and you can find information about my upcoming programs here.

I have developed my techniques over 30 years of study, professional work and observation.  I have worked at many different wellness retreat centers throughout my lifetime and have seen some remarkable, surprising and disappointing things. My experiences and insights allow me to create wellness retreats that get to the root of problems that drive unhealthy habits.  I advocate diets that work, and I do not advocate things that, though popular, do not work.

I’ll help you to make more informed and  better choices for yourself.

I am the daughter of a Yoga teacher, and have been practicing yoga (on and off at times) for over 30 years. I have attended  3  yoga teacher trainings, a yoga therapist training as well as numerous short courses with many teachers from many backgrounds. I ran a large studio in California, with 4 yoga rooms, and hundreds of students per week. I’ve worked in Italy, Mexico and California teaching yoga and yoga therapy. I have been a staff member at The Hippocrates Institute, HealthSharing, Sunflower Yoga Retreats, Ten Thousand Waves, 7th Heaven Yoga and a volunteer staff member at Kripalu.

I have passion for my work, I firmly believe that work is love made visible. It is always a great honor for me to help others approach their challenges in new and empowering ways.
